Settlers Series - Painting Wildlife on Textured background - Ros Blackburn

Have fun whilst learning new skills and techniques creating a wildlife painting on a textured surface

Ros will demonstrate and take you through her method of preparing a textured canvas to be used as a background and then painting on your choice of wildlife subject. Then, when the paint is dry, will demonstrate some methods of transferring your subject onto the canvas.

Historic Settlers Cottage is located at 180 Pearson Street, Churchlands, is owned by the National Trust and currently used as Art Studios. The setting is idyllic, nestled close to the Herdsman Lake, surrounded by trees and wildlife. The venue for our workshops is in the adjacent Shelter area (outdoor undercover with weather protection) and on the shady verandahs of the cottage. With Covid, this is the perfect way to enjoy art activities.
