Settlers Series - Painting Impressionist Floral Landscapes (acrylics) with Annie Rawle

Spend an inspiring day learning how to paint light filled gardens in the style of Monet, Van Gogh & Manet.

During this popular workshop Annie will teach you the skills to paint dappled light falling on flowers and foliage. Layers of varied mark making in acrylic paint and colour build up to capture joyful expanses of sunlit glades and cool shady bowers. Use of colour and spontaneous brush strokes are the signature techniques recognised as being Impressionism and Annie will demonstrate how this style allows the viewer's perception to do much of the colour mixing, rather than meticulously painting every detail.

This workshop is suitable for all levels. No experience is necessary. (Children 12 and over allowed with an accompanying adult). Small workshop numbers (maximum class size of 8) ensures you plenty of time with Annie.

Settlers Art Studios - outside in the undercover area, surrounded by nature, in the grounds of Settlers Cottage. We will be working under a wooden shelter area that has clear weatherproof blinds in case of inclement weather.
