Immerse yourself in nature - Unleash your creativity - Produce a unique piece of art!
Artist and owner of Art Outdoors, Louise Collier aims to deliver a range of enjoyable and informative workshops and retreats to hone your creative skills. Louise believes that anyone can learn the art of making art!
Workshops are offered at Settlers Art Studios in Churchlands and at the historic Old Courthouse Complex in Busselton. We also host the occasional ‘en plein air’ painting sessions which are all about getting out into the open air, experiencing nature and being creative, and weekend art retreats and art adventures (most recently an 8 night trip to the Kimberley).

Never painted before?
You don’t need to have any drawing experience or even held a paintbrush before. All you need is a willingness to learn and express yourself. Our classes are perfect for beginners as well as more advanced artists. To make it easy, everything you need is supplied including the unique venues and beautiful locations, easels, the medium (paints, pastels etc), canvas or paper, frames brushes and refreshments.
What is ‘en plein air’?
‘en plein air’ is a French expression for ‘in the open air’. Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of the studio behind and experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape. The practice goes back for centuries but was made into an art form by the French Impressionists.
Leave YOUR four walls behind and venture into the outdoors and discover the freedom of ‘en plein air’.
